Shipping policy

LegStyle covers are custom-made to order. Production timing depends on the type of request, the completeness of the order information, and whether design review is required before manufacture.

Typical turnaround

For most standard orders, typical turnaround is about three weeks from receiving the completed order form, required reference material, and any required approval.

New colours, new styles, unusual fitting requirements, or custom project work may take longer. We will flag this where possible before work begins.


1) When production timing starts

Production timing usually starts once we have the completed order information needed to make the cover accurately. This may include:

  • completed LegStyle order form
  • selected cover style and colour
  • BK or AK cover type
  • prosthesis scan
  • either a sound-side scan or the required sound-side measurements
  • trimline and hardware access requirements
  • PO number or relevant funding details
  • design approval, where review before manufacture is selected

If order information is incomplete, unclear, or needs clarification, production may be delayed until the missing information is received.


2) Standard orders

Standard orders are covers made using existing LegStyle styles, colours, materials, and fitting methods.

Typical turnaround: about three weeks from receiving complete order information and any required approval.


3) Custom or development work

Some requests may involve additional development work, such as a new style, new colour, unusual geometry, non-standard fitting requirement, or an untested design approach.

These requests may take longer than standard orders. Timing will depend on the work required, and we will communicate expected timing as clearly as practical.


4) New Zealand delivery

LegStyle currently primarily serves New Zealand. Once dispatched, delivery within New Zealand typically takes 1–3 business days, with extra time possible for rural addresses.

Where shipping details are provided through a clinician, prosthetic provider, PO, or agreed ordering process, we will ship according to those details unless otherwise arranged.


5) Shipping costs

Shipping costs may be included in the order, invoiced separately, or handled according to the agreed PO or ordering arrangement.

6) Tracking

Where tracking is available, we will provide tracking details once the order has been dispatched.


7) International enquiries

International shipping may be possible by enquiry, but is not currently the main ordering pathway.

Any customs duties, taxes, import fees, or local clearance costs are the responsibility of the recipient unless otherwise agreed in writing.


8) Lost or damaged shipments

If an order appears to be lost or arrives with visible shipping damage, please contact us as soon as practical, ideally within 7 days of delivery or the expected delivery date.

Please include the order details, tracking information if available, and clear photos of any damage. We will work with the carrier and the ordering clinician or provider to resolve the issue fairly.
